Developed in partnership with Cobeck Construction, the ProMed 2200 Clean Rooms project transformed an existing facility into a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical research and development environment featuring four rentable pharmaceutical-grade cleanrooms. The facility provides emerging life sciences companies and research organizations with access to highly controlled laboratory space without the cost and complexity of building their own cleanroom infrastructure.
Horwitz provided mechanical design-build services for the cleanroom environments, working closely with ProMed to create flexible, FDA-compliant spaces that support product development, testing, and research activities. The project required meticulous attention to documentation, system coordination, and quality control to meet the stringent standards associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing and research environments.
The completed facility delivers the specialized infrastructure necessary to support current tenant needs while positioning ProMed for future growth. With additional cleanrooms and facility enhancements already under consideration, the project establishes a strong foundation for continued expansion and innovation within Minnesota’s growing life sciences sector.
