Summit Orthopedics

Summit Orthopedics Plymouth Bass Lake Clinic and Plymouth Ambulatory Surgery Center is an 80,000-square-foot, two-story healthcare facility in Plymouth, Minnesota that combines clinical, surgical, and overnight care services under one roof. The facility includes seven operating rooms, an MRI suite, exam rooms, and overnight care spaces designed to support a full range of orthopedic services for patients throughout the region. 

As the design-build mechanical and plumbing contractor, Horwitz led the installation of the facility’s HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, and specialty piping systems. To support the successful delivery of these critical healthcare systems, early involvement during design, extensive BIM coordination, and strategic prefabrication helped keep the project on schedule while meeting the stringent requirements of a healthcare environment. Through close collaboration with project partners, Horwitz helped deliver the infrastructure necessary for the facility to successfully pass critical inspections and open on time. The completed systems provide the reliability and performance required to support patient care, surgical procedures, diagnostic services, and daily operations throughout the facility.
